Miss Sassy Pants!

Kyler had her one year appointment last week. She is right on track with all of her milestones, and growing like crazy! 

 Kyler's 1 year Stats

Weight- 21 pounds 5 oz (73rd percentile)

Height- 31.5 inches (97th percentile) HOLY CRAP!!

Head- 17.5 inches (37th percentile)

 Kyler Loves:

Strawberries, olives, her puppy Lucy, making messes, Daddy time, Mama's big belly, bath time and her new swing set! 

This little lady definitely has her own spunky little attitude these days! You never have to wonder how she is feeling about something. 

She loves to put things away (hide things). It is no longer surprising to find the remote in the trash can, her toys in the laundry hamper, mommy's phone in her ball pit, a stack of toys in the baby swing... Every day is like the most stressful game of hide and seek you have ever played! She also will not hesitate to voice her displeasure when you close the fridge or dishwasher before she has time to pull every last thing out of them. I know that someday her strong personality will really test me, but for now it is a tad fun to see! 

 She has also been a HUGE snuggle bug lately! I don't know if she knows that life is about to change with a new baby coming any day, but she sure is taking advantage of all the cuddles still belonging to her!

Mama is loving it, to say the least! 

We are just waiting for #2 to make her debut. She sure is a tease! I suppose she has her own idea about things- just like her big sister!

Kyler's First Birthday!!

Our little girl is one!! I can't believe it has been a year since we welcomed our wrinkly little Ky Bug into the world! She is the most adorable, fun little girl and we are blessed to be her parents! 

We celebrated her birthday with family and friends with a small party at our new house. 

Kyler absolutely loved all the attention on her big day! She played with friends, snuggled with her favorite people and dominated her first birthday cake! 

Kyler had such a fun and memorable first birthday party! She has so many people that love her. What a lucky little lady! 

On Kyler's actual birthday daddy had to work, so we played at home and had a picnic with daddy for lunch. 

Grandma and Papa Hopkins got Ky a swing set for her birthday. Daddy put it together the night before so the birthday girl would have a surprise when she woke up! She LOVED it!

Sprinkle french toast for the birthday girl's breakfast!

Birthdays are exhausting!

We ended the night with snuggles and Cinderella in Mommy and Daddy's room.

This little rebel was up way past her bed time! She was loving Cinderella!

36 Weeks and Our Big Girl!

Maternity clothes: Oh yeah!

Stretch marks: Nope!

Belly button in or out: Out, so far out!

Sleep: Sleep is not my friend. At least not one I know very well these days.

Best moment this week: Some family time as our little family of 3.

Worst moment this week: A hospital visit due to contractions. We are well on our way to meeting our little baby! Dilated to 3.5 and 90% effaced! Any time now!

Miss anything: Cinco De Mayo really had me missing margaritas! Moving around and not feeling like a hippo.

Movement: Movement has slowed down a bit. Little girl is running out of room!

Cravings: Poptarts!

Queasy or sick: Nausea here and there.

Looking forward to: Kyler's first birthday party next weekend and meeting our new little lady!

I can't believe Kyler will be 1 next week! She is growing up way too fast! She is walking, talking and learning more everyday! She LOVES chasing her puppies and bringing us books to read. She says, "Mama" and "Dada". She also says "ball", which is another one of her favorite toys! 

We have a big week coming up, starting with Mother's Day tomorrow! We have lots to do to get ready for Miss Kyler's birthday! And of course, we are just waiting for #2 to make her appearance!
